Change or cancel your plan

Move to a bigger or smaller ChurchVex plan, pay monthly or yearly, renew, or cancel.

Who can do this
Someone whose role can manage the church's subscription, such as the Senior Pastor.

Go to Subscription in the menu. It shows your current plan, when it runs until, how many members and how much storage you’re using, and your recent invoices.

Change plan

  1. Choose Change plan.
  2. Choose Monthly or Yearly billing, then the plan you want.
  3. Confirm.

What happens next depends on the direction:

  • Moving to a bigger plan takes effect straight away. You pay a prorated amount for the rest of your current term, by card or mobile money on the secure checkout page.
  • Moving to a smaller plan is nothing you pay for today. Your current plan and its limits stay as they are until the end of your current term. The smaller plan is then the one you renew onto, and you pay the smaller plan’s price when you renew. You can only move to a plan whose member limit fits the number of members you have now.

The free trial can’t be chosen as your next plan. To stop paying, cancel instead.

Cancel

Choose Cancel subscription and confirm. Cancelling doesn’t change anything straight away:

  • Your church keeps its current plan until the end date it already has. Nothing moves to the free trial, and no new period starts.
  • Nothing is refunded.
  • When that end date passes, the usual steps follow: full access for 7 more days, then read-only until day 30, then suspended.

You can renew at any point once the end date has passed, including after your church has been suspended. Renew from the Subscription page and full access comes back as soon as the payment goes through.

Keep your plan current

Each plan runs for a term — a month or a year. Nothing renews by itself: when a term ends, you renew from the Subscription page and pay by card or mobile money on the secure checkout page. If a term ends without being renewed, your church keeps full access for 7 days, then becomes read-only, and is suspended after 30 days. Nothing is deleted, and at every stage — even once suspended — your church administrator can still sign in, reset a forgotten password, see everything, and renew from the Subscription page, which restores full access as soon as the payment goes through.

While your church is read-only or suspended you can’t make changes, and that includes adding user accounts or changing anyone’s roles. Those come back with full access once you renew.
