Turn on two-factor sign-in

Protect your ChurchVex account with a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone.

Who can do this
Every signed-in user, for their own account.

Two-factor sign-in means that, as well as your password, you type a 6-digit code from an app on your phone. Someone who learns your password still can’t get in. We strongly recommend it for anyone who can see finance or member records.

You will need an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.

  1. In ChurchVex, go to Settings → Security.
  2. Choose Enable two-factor.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app.
  4. Type the 6-digit code the app shows, then choose Confirm & enable.

From now on, ChurchVex asks for a code each time you sign in.

Other things on the Security page

  • Change password — you’ll need your current password.
  • Sessions — see where you’re signed in, and choose Sign out everywhere else if you’ve signed in on a device you no longer use.
